• Acid 3 test nearly passed by Chrome and Safari. Need a mark of 100 plus some other checks. Figures August 2009:
  • Chrome 2: 100 (first to get 100 on officially released version)
  • Safari 4: 100 (first to get 100 and pass?)
  • Opera 10: 100 (October 2009)
  • Firefox: 93 (internal Firefox builds get to 97)
  • Iris mobile: 100
  • Opera Mobile: 100
  • IE8: 20: Microsoft said early on that they were concentrating on bug fixes in IE8

Acid3 consists of:

• 100 sub tests run by Javascript
• Some rendering results that need to be viewed
• Smoothness/speed test
• The test also expects the SVG test suite to be passed which improves Opera and lowers Firefox
