Acid 3 test nearly passed by Chrome and Safari. Need a mark of 100 plus some other checks. Figures August 2009:
- Chrome 2: 100 (first to get 100 on officially released version)
- Safari 4: 100 (first to get 100 and pass?)
- Opera 10: 100 (October 2009)
- Firefox: 93 (internal Firefox builds get to 97)
- Iris mobile: 100
- Opera Mobile: 100
- IE8: 20: Microsoft said early on that they were concentrating on bug fixes in IE8
Acid3 consists of:
- 100 sub tests run by Javascript
- Some rendering results that need to be viewed
- Smoothness/speed test
- The test also expects the SVG test suite to be passed which improves Opera and lowers Firefox
