The gun platform on the outer retrenchment or defensive wall at restored Fort Ligonier. the fort was built in 1758 for the Forbes campaign against Fort Duquesne and was also used as a place of refuge for settlers during the Indian wars. Served a vital purpose in our history and was never taken by the enemy.
